Hi, welcome to my site!
Hi, my name is Apurva! I'm currently a cloud engineer at Amazon Web Services in Seattle, working on the enterprise network infrastructure team (specifically VPC, Route 53, and WAF), having most recently graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in computer science in May 2025.
I grew up a bit all over the place. I spent about four and a half years living in France as a kid, attending the American School of Paris for middle school. Being around so many cultures early on turned me into a global affairs nerd, which carried into debate, Model UN, and eventually co-founding GLOMUN during COVID and serving on MUN Impact's leadership team focused on the UN Sustainable Development Goals. That SDG work is actually what inspired AquaSDG, an AI water security platform I'm continuing to build out. On the day job side, I kept running into customers who needed to test and validate WAF rules outside of production but had no easy way to do it without an AWS expert walking them through it, so I built WAFSim, an interactive rule simulator I'm developing toward internal tooling review.
Outside of work I'm usually skiing, golfing, watching F1, reading about wine, or finding something new to add to Beli. Michigan football runs through my blood. I love meeting new people and hearing about what they're working on, so if anything here catches your eye, please don't hesitate to reach out!
